Since the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, Ukraine has experienced one of the largest waves of both forced and voluntary migration in Europe. The presentation will provide data on migration flows from Ukraine, the evolving demographic profile of migrants, and the main factors influencing the integration of displaced persons into host communities, particularly in Poland, Germany, and other EU countries. It will also explore the drivers behind both „new waves” of relocation and patterns of return migration. Particular attention is given to issues such as legal status, access to the labor market, and public attitudes in receiving societies. Furthermore, it will be examined the long-term implications of Ukrainian migration for both Ukraine and host countries, emphasizing the need for comprehensive and coordinated policy responses at both national and international levels.
