TBS Education (master)

Master double degree program between SGH Warsaw School of Economics and TBS Education (Toulouse, France)

This double degree program is available to full-time master students of SGH and TBS within the following study programs at SGH:

  • Management (zarządzanie) [in Polish]
  • International Business [in English]

as well as – at TBS:

  • Management.
TBS EDUCATION

TBS Education was founded in 1903 as Toulouse Business School by the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The school is triple accredited by European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Association of MBAs (AMBA) and is one of France’s prestigious “Grandes Écoles de Management”. The School has four campuses: the main one in Toulouse, campus in Paris, campus in Barcelona and campus in Casablanca which is offering executive studies.

Double degree students study in Toulouse or in Barcelona campus

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
  • The intended period of study for the MDDP is two years (4 semesters).
  • Double degree students will spend their first year at their “home institution” and the second year at the “host institution”.
  • Full information should be provided to the “host institution” on the courses that participants have taken at their “home institution” and vice versa.
  • Double degree students will have access to courses and enjoy the same rights and obligations and be subject to the same rules and regulations as the regular graduate students in the corresponding master study track of the “host institution”. They should have access at the “host institution” only for the parts of the study programme that will be carried out under the responsibility of the “host institution”.

MASTER THESIS

TBS students should write Master Thesis at SGH.

AT SGH 
Master seminar and master Thesis at SGH – second year of double degree studies

    Master Seminar 1st semester    30 hours    8 
    Master Seminar 2nd semester     30 hours    12 
TOTAL: 20 ECTS for Master Seminar and Thesis

TBS students should find supervisor at SGH and enroll in a Master Seminar by November of the second year of studies at the latest. They must attend the seminar follow-up with the thesis supervisor regularly.

Written Thesis read and graded by SGH Professor and a reviewer (with PhD degree) from TBS or SGH.
Defense at SGH.
Copy of Thesis and reviews to be sent to TBS to be validated after the Defense at SGH or earlier, for the review, if the reviewer is from TBS.

SGH students should write Master Thesis at SGH. 
Writing thesis at TBS is allowed provided that supervisor from TBS complies with SGH personal data requirements.

AT SGH – A DEFAULT OPTION
Master seminar and master Thesis at SGH – second year of double degree studies

TOTAL: 20 ECTS for Master Seminar and Thesis

If Master Thesis (in English) is written at SGH students should find supervisor and enroll in a Master Seminar by November of the second year of studies at the latest. They must attend the seminar follow-up with the thesis supervisor regularly.

The subject of the Thesis must be in the subject area of the Master of Science program studied by the student at TBS.
Written Thesis read and graded by SGH Professor and a reviewer (with PhD degree) from TBS or SGH.

AT TBS – AFTER CONSULTATIONS WITH TBS (allowed if supervisor complies with SGH personal data requirements)
Master seminar and master Thesis at TBS – second year of double degree studies

Master thesis at TBS:   15 ECTS
Written in English with TBS supervisor.
Subject validated (it must be in the subject area of the Master of Science program studied by the student at TBS) by TBS supervisor. Written Thesis read and graded by TBS supervisor and SGH reviewer.
Defense at TBS.
Copy of Thesis and reviews to be sent to SGH to be validated after the Defense at TBS.
 

ADMISSION CRITERIA

The following guidelines apply to all students (SGH and TBS):

  • The double-degree exchange students will be:
  1. full-time TBS Master in Management students, having passed semester 1 and 2 of the Master 1 year credits and
  2. full-time SGH master degree students who have successfully completed the first year of the Master in Management or Master in International Business programme (acquiring 60 ECTS).
  • Any academic credit earned at the host institution must be transferred to the home institution in accordance with the home institution’s procedures.
  • The double-degree candidates must satisfy all admission requirements of the host institution, including language proficiency requirements and good knowledge at Bachelor level of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Statistics. All double degree candidates must provide evidence of a satisfactory level of language proficiency according to the requirements of the Common European Framework (CEF):
  1. students from SGH as their home institution – English B2 (or higher) and French B2 (or higher) in case they choose the French track in Management at TBS,
  2. students from TBS as their home institution – English B2 (or higher, for example: CAE (C), TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.0).
  • Double degree students must abide by all rules and regulations of the host institution.
  • ​According to the Rules and Regulations of selection for international programs and exchanges at SGH, all students accepted for double diploma programmes are not allowed to apply for any other exchange or programme that involves mobility abroad in the given academic year. It especially refers to Erasmus, PIM and bilateral exchanges and international programmes like CEMS MIM.

DEADLINE FOR DELIVERING APPLICATIONS – to be announced

Documents required from the SGH candidates to double degree program include (all documents should be prepared in English):

  • APPLICATION FORM 2025

  • Motivation letter addressed to Selection Commission to double degree program between Toulouse Business School and SGH Warsaw School of Economics (in English, max. 1 page)
  • CV OF THE APPLICANT IN THE EUROPASS FORMAT
  • Copy of the BA diploma
  • Official course transcript or diploma supplement with grades received (in English)

  • Document certifying fluency in English

​France Alumni Pologne is a network for all alumni of French universities. The alumni of the Master Double Degree Program between SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Toulouse Business School are also eligible to register there and connect with other alumni of French HEIs.
