dr Waldemar Milewicz

Waldemar Milewicz (PhD) is assistant professor at Warsaw School of Economics (German Economy Research Unit, Collegium of World Economy). He studied Finance and Banking (specialization „Banking”) and Management and Marketing (specialization „Finance Management in Enterprise”) at Warsaw School of Economics. During his studies he was holder of German Academic Exchange Service’s vacation scholarship and winter semester scholarship (Socrates-Erasmus) at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. He graduated in three-year studies in the field of economic and social sciences – Polish-German Academic Forum at Warsaw School of Economics. He received also German Academic Exchange Service’s scholarship to end doctoral dissertation at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg. In 2019, he obtained at his mother university the title of doctor of economic sciences for work entitled „Privatization through Initial Public Offering and its impact on development of capital market”.

He has working experience as assistant professor at Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities (The Faculty of Economic and Legal Sciences).  He has been giving lectures and exercises there in: “Portfolio Investment Management”, “Financial analysis”, “Economic International Relations”, “State aid for small- and medium-sized companies”, “The valuation of company”. Apart from that, he worked as scientific worker at the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and in the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

His research interests include: capital market, banking, Polish-German economic relations.

His teaching includes: Microeconomics, Internationalization of the Firm and International Economic Relations.
