In the case of studies offered in Polish, the choice of a programme is made at the end of the second semester – the first year is general economics without an assigned programme). In the case of full-time studies offered in English, the choice of a programme is made at the admission stage.
Admission to the above-mentioned forms and fields of study is joint. After applying through the ISR system, you can choose up to six forms or fields of study, but you can only be admitted to one. You should therefore rank your choices in order of preference, from most to least preferred.
Below, you can familiarize yourself with the subsequent stages of the admission procedure:
- 1. Creating a personal account in the Internet Registration System
Create your personal account in the Internet Registration System (ISR). The date of account creation does not determine your eligibility for studies. All activities related to the admission process will be carried out through the ISR until the document submission stage. Important information can always be found in the system’s notifications section – read them regularly and carefully, as they will be crucial for your admissions process.
- 2. Rejestracja w systemie rekrutacyjnym (ISR)
Registration for studies (the possibility of joining the admission process) begins on June 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. and ends two days after the announcement of the results of the secondary school leaving examination by the competent authority (July 10, 2026). The registration process consists of selecting the appropriate studies “join” option in the ISR system and:
- entering the required information (basic personal details, Polish maturity certificate or equivalent foreign secondary school leaving certificate results, as well as results from academic competitions and sporting achievements);
- selecting the forms or fields of study and ranking them in order of preference from most to least preferred (candidates may choose up to 6 from among the available forms or fields of study, but may only be admitted to one);
- uploading a photograph (in JPG format, with parameters compliant with technical requirements, meeting standards for a photograph intended for an identity card);
- making the application fee payment to the individual bank account number indicated on the candidate’s personal application account.
You can edit the above data until registration closes. The time of registration and completion of the above steps does not determine your eligibility for studies in Polish. It is only relevant for eligibility for programmes offered in English.
Detailed admissions schedule:
- 3. Qualification procedure
Admission to full-time studies in Polish is based on the results shown on the Polish maturity certificate or an equivalent foreign secondary school leaving certificate, as well as the results of the entrepreneurship knowledge (WOP) test.
Admission to part-time studies (afternoon and Saturday-Sunday) in Polish is based on the results shown on the Polish maturity certificate or an equivalent foreign secondary school leaving certificate.
In the case of full-time studies in English, admission is determined by the successful verification of documents, and in the case of a larger number of candidates, the order of applications, determined by the moment of selecting the level of studies in the ISR (joining the admission process for first-cycle studies in the ISR).
If you are a laureate or finalist of an academic competition or have a significant sporting achievement, you can earn additional qualification points – be sure to read the information under the following tab:School contests and sporting achievements
As part of the admission process, you can submit results from up to four subjects in four categories:
Category I: mathematics or physics;
Category II: physics, computer science, geography, history, civics, economics;
Category III: foreign language – English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, or Italian;
Category IV: second foreign language – English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, or Italian.You cannot submit the same result for one subject twice, even if you took it at different levels. Not having a result in a given subject category does not disqualify you from participating in the admission process at SGH – you simply will not receive any qualifying points in that specific category.
You do not need to calculate the total number of points yourself. You will only be asked to select the appropriate subjects, as well as their levels of advancement and enter your grades in the Internet Registration System.
Information on rules for converting points from certificates is to be found below (available in Polish only):

There are no predetermined point thresholds for individual modes and fields of study. The Rector of SGH sets admission limits by decree, and candidates with the highest number of points within the limit are qualified. Information on admission limits cand be found here:
Admissions limits for undergraduate studies
Learn more about past qualification thresholds in the previous years by visiting the following tab:
- 4. Entrepreneurship knowledge (WOP) test
If you are applying for full-time studies in Polish, you will be invited to take the entrepreneurship knowledge (WOP) test. It takes place after the registration deadline, in written form at SGH. It gives you the opportunity to earn additional qualification points (up to 100 pts). These points are only taken into account when applying for full-time studies in Polish. Absence from the exam does not disqualify you from the admission process, but it does deprive you of the opportunity to earn additional points.
- 5. Document submission
After a successful qualification procedure, you will receive an invitation to submit your original documents to SGH and gain the ability to book an appointment for a specific date and time. A tab with documents to be printed will be unlocked in your ISR account (you must complete the missing elements of the application form regarding language courses, student ID, etc.).
Failure to submit the documents by the deadline specified in the admission schedule will result in non-admission to the programme.
You can submit your documents to SGH in person or through a representative. In the latter case, a power of attorney signed by the candidate is also required to submit the documents. The template is available below:
Documents cannot be sent to SGH by postal services or courier. You can find the list of required documents by accessing the following tab:
If you are under 18 years of age at the time of the original documents’ submission, you must also submit written consent from your parents or legal guardians. The template is available below:
- 6. Additional admission rounds
After the lists of candidates qualified for individual modes and fields of study have been published, you may:
- be qualified for your highest preference. All you have to do is submit your documents and start your studies. Please note: in this situation, you cannot switch to a lower preference;
- be qualified for a preference other than your highest one. In this case, you should submit your documents within the specified deadline, and if you wish to do so, declare your willingness to participate in the next round of recruitment. If, after recalculation, you are qualified for a higher preference, you will automatically be transferred to it. In the case of unsuccess, you will be admitted to the form or field of study which you originally submitted your documents for;
IMPORTANT: Remember that, in the case of the above, prior submission of documents is a prerequisite for participating in additional qualification rounds.
- not be qualified for any of your selected preferences. In this case, you can declare your willingness to participate in the next recruitment round in the ISR system.
NOTE: The decision on conducting an additional admission round is made by the University Admissions Committee, provided that the admission limit has not been reached as a result of the completed document verification round. The Committee may launch no more than two rounds of additional qualification.
- 7. End of the admission process and appeals
Once you have completed all the necessary steps, you will be entered on the list of students. You will receive instructions on how to log in to the student systems, through which you will take further steps related to your studies.
If you are not accepted, you will receive a decision from the University Admissions Committee stating the reason for your rejection. You may appeal against this decision in accordance with the following rules:
- IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Registration in the ISR closes at 3 p.m. official time in the Republic of Poland on the last day of the registration period. The application fee can be paid until the end of that day.
- You can complete and change the data entered in the Internet Registration System until the registration deadline.
- You can change your personal details (nationality, PESEL number, date of birth and gender) if you have not yet selected your level of study. Otherwise, you must deregister from your current admission process, change your details and join the appropriate admission process again. Any change, if you are participating in the admission process for part-time and full-time studies in English, will change the date of your registration and, in consequence, your place on the list in the overall qualification.
- You can update your contact details in the ISR until the end of the admission process, understood as being entered on the list of students or receiving a decision of non-admission to studies.
- Do not forget to check the messages and notifications in the ISR.
- SGH has introduced standards for the protection of minors. These are a set of internal rules, principles, and practices to be followed in situations where there is suspicion of harm to minor, and to ensure their safety.
- As a candidate for first-cycle studies, you are required to document your knowledge of your chosen language at the declared level when submitting your documents. If you have grades for two languages on your secondary school leaving certificate, you do not need any additional documents. If you only have a grade for one language and your preference is for full-time studies, you need to confirm your knowledge of the second language at a minimum level of A2. This can be a language certificate (see the list below for examples) or a grade for the language on your secondary school leaving certificate.
