Obtaining the doctoral degree

Pursuant to Article 204, item 1 of the Act on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018, doctoral training ends with the submission of a doctoral dissertation. The procedure for awarding the doctoral degree is divided into two different stages, depending on the format of education.

Beginning of the procedure for the conferment of the doctoral degree is submission of an application to initiate the proceedings for the conferment of the doctoral degree to the chairperson of the relevant council of the scientific discipline through the Dean of the Doctoral School.

The Dean of the Doctoral School sends the application, together with the attachments specified below, to the chairperson of the council for the relevant discipline through the Dean of the relevant college. Acceptance of indicators generated in the anti-plagiarism report is a necessary precondition for issuing a positive opinion;
