The 2026 ceremonies will take place on the following dates:
BA graduation ceremony - November 7,
for graduates who successfully defended their thesis between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026,
MASTER’S graduation ceremony - December 12,
for graduates who successfully defended their thesis between December 12, 2025 and December 4, 2026.
Participation in the graduation ceremony is subject to a successful completion of the diploma examination and registration for the event via the registration form.
- Invitations and registration
Invitations to the ceremony will be sent to you the same day that registration for the event opens. We will send them to your e-mail addresses in the SGH domain: @student.sgh.waw.pl/@absolwent.sgh.waw.pl, as well as to private addresses. Please make sure to leave/confirm your current address.
REGISTRATION
Along with the invitation, each of you will receive an individual link (it will not be possible to share it with others!) allowing you to register for the event.
Registration for Bachelor’s degree graduates: October 6-26.
Registration for Master’s degree graduates: November 12 - December 4.
- Organisational information for participants
The ceremony will take place at the Main Auditorium of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
You will have a dedicated seat at the Auditorium, and during the ceremony you will be called out alphabetically.
Please take your seat and do not change seats on your own, as this will disrupt the flow of alumni receiving congratulation letters from the Rector.
Each participant must wear a gown and a graduation cap.
The gowns we will lend you on the day of the event. Additionally, you must wear a graduation cap which must be purchased before the ceremony (we will provide detailed information on how to purchase one in October).
Accompanying persons.
We do not limit the number of accompanying persons, but please note that the number of seats will be limited. Your guests will be directed to the balcony of the Main Auditorium, where approximately 300 seats will be available.
The lower part of the auditorium will be reserved exclusively for graduates receiving congratulatory letters from the Rector.Simultaneous translation.
For your convenience, simultaneous translation into English will be provided during the event. Before entering the Main Auditorium you will get headphones for yourself and your English-speaking guests. Please, return the headphones immediately after the official part of the ceremony.

Bachelor’s Graduation Ceremony – November 15, 2025
Graduates whose thesis defense took place between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, were invited to attend the Bachelor’s Graduation Ceremony.

Master’s Graduation Ceremony – December 13, 2025
The graduation ceremony for more than 600 master’s graduates took place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the Main Hall of SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The event was held in two sessions: 12:00–2:20 p.m. (Session I) and 4:00–6:40 p.m. (Session II). Graduates who successfully defended their master’s theses in 2025 were invited to participate.

Graduation ceremony for BA graduates - 30/11/2024
For 2024 graduation ceremony we invited graduates who have defended their bachelor’s theses in the period from 1 October 2023 to 31 October 2024.
The event was held on November 30, 2024, and more than 300 graduates received congratulatory letters from the hands of the JM Rector.

Graduation ceremony for MA graduates - 14/12/2024
The ceremony for nearly 600 master’s graduates was held on December 14, 2024 (Saturday) in the Main Hall of the Warsaw School of Economics from 2:00 pm to 4:40 pm (1st round) and from 6:00 pm to 8:40 pm (2nd round to which all non-Polish-speaking graduates were invited).
Graduates who defended their master’s theses in 2024 were invited to participate in the event, and they performed in gowns (loaned by the University just before the ceremony) and in birettas purchased in advance.

Graduation ceremony for BA graduates - 28/10/2023
The event took place in the Main Hall on October 28, 2023. It was attended by 200 graduates (who have defended their bachelor’s theses in the period from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2023.), SGH authorities and guests.
Graduation ceremony for MA graduates - 16/12/2023
To participate in the ceremony we invited graduates who defended their master’s thesis in 2023. The ceremony for nearly 600 master’s degree graduates took place on December 16.
During the ceremony graduates wore gowns (borrowed by the University just before the ceremony) and previously purchased birettas. After the official part, there was a joint toast, and there was also time for photos.
The photos were taken by SGH employees both during the ceremony in the Main Hall and in less formal situations. Each graduate was given the opportunity to download elements of the photo report:

- Graduation ceremonies 2022
Graduation ceremony for BA graduates - 29/10/2022
The graduation ceremony attended by bachelor’s graduates, the Warsaw School of Economics governing bodies, and guests took place on October 29, 2022 (Saturday) in the Main Hall of the Warsaw School of Economics.
For 2022 graduation ceremony we invited graduates who have defended their bachelor’s theses in the period from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022. 155 graduates received congratulatory letters, and 15 received diplomas with honors.
As every year, the graduates performed in togas and birettas made especially for them. During the ceremony they were accompanied by family members and friends, gathered in large numbers in the Main Hall. Traditionally, the ceremony was graced with its lively performance by the SGH Choir. After the official part, there was time for photos in togas and a toast.

Graduation ceremony for MA graduates - 17/12/2022
The graduation ceremony with the participation of graduates of master’s studies, the authorities of the Warsaw School of Economics and guests took place on December 17, 2022.
Due to the very high interest, and thus - exceeding the maximum number of participants in one event, a decision was made to organize two events on the same day.
Finally, 520 graduates received congratulatory letters. This group included 93 graduates who received diplomas with honors. Among them was Tim Kothe, who gave a speech on behalf of all his colleagues.
