Places for doctoral students in Residence Halls

Places for doctoral students in residence halls

Doctoral students can apply for a place in Residence Hall No. 1 “Sabinki”. Residence Hall No. 3 “Grosik” in academic year 2022/23 is closed due to renovation.

The number of places for doctoral students in an academic year is determined by the Chancellor in consultation with the Undergraduate/Graduate Students’ Self-Government and the Doctoral Students’ Self-Government. However, the number of places available may not be lower than 3% of the total number of places in student residence halls available at the SGH. A place in a residence hall is allocated for a period from October to June of a specific academic year.

How to get a place in a student residence hall?

Pursuant to the Rector’s Order No. 56 of 18 October 2019, places in residence halls are allocated to doctoral students by the the Doctoral Student Grants Appeals Committee

Approximate timing for submitting housing applications: June for doctoral students completing their 1st year of studies, and September for newly admitted doctoral students (about to begin their 1st year). Doctoral students are notified about the allocation decision by e-mail.
