The full and updated admission regulations will be published on the university’s website immediately after the relevant resolution is adopted by the SGH Senate.
The Senate resolution introducing the new admission rules is expected by the end of June 2025.
The planned changes may include:
-an obligation to provide proof of proficiency in the language of instruction (B2 or higher),
-a requirement to submit a statement from the Director of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
Other aspects of the admission process – including registration procedures, deadlines, the schedule, available programmes, and fees – will remain unchanged.
Depending on your educational background and country of origin, you may need to provide evidence of your English proficiency to be able to study with us. The required level of English is B2 or higher.

Certificates, diploma or other document confirming the command of English at the level B2, C1 or C2.
International Baccalaureate Diploma, European Baccalaureate Diploma,
Polish maturity certificate containing information on the results obtained in the written English maturity exam, 60% or higher (to be confirmed)
A higher education degree from the Polish univeristy in English phililogy or applied linguistics in English; or a diploma of a sworn transaltor in English
Certificates issued by international institutions:
1) University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations: certificate B2 First (earlier: First Certificate in English) – grade A, B or C; certificate C1 Advanced (earlier: Certificate in Advanced English) – grade A, B or C, or Level B2; certificate C2 Proficiency (earlier Certificate of Proficiency in English) – grade A, B or C, or Level C1;
2) Educational Testing Service (ETS), Princeton, USA: certificate Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as Internet-Based Test (iBT) – at least 87 pts;
3) British Council, IDP IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English: certificate International English Language Testing System IELTS – at least 6 pts.

If you know English, but you do not have any of the above-mentioned documents, you may undergo an online exam during the admission process (no additional charges apply).
To be qualified to such an exam (both written and oral exam), you need to upload any proof that you have studied English previously, e.g. high school diploma with a grade in English or an online test result.The exam will assess the following language skills:
1. Oral communication skills and listening comprehension
2. Reading comprehension skills
3. Written communication skills
4. Knowledge of grammatical rules and their correct applicationSection 1 comprises oral responses to two topics.
Section 2 evaluates reading comprehension through a multiple-choice test.
Section 3 requires the production of a written response to a problem question based on the previously read text.
Section 4 consists of two grammar exercises.
