IELTS test (International English Language Testing System)

SGH, by agreement with the British Council, provides the IELTS Academic test in a computer version for SGH students.

IELTS is the world’s most popular test of English language proficiency. It was developed by world-class experts in the field and covers all aspects of the language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

IELTS test reflects the level of practical English skills needed to study, work and live in an English-speaking environment.

TEST DATES and REGISTRATION

The upcoming dates of the IELTS test at SGH in 2024:

Please note that in order to register for an exam conducted at SGH, it is necessary to use an e-mail address in the SGH domain, e.g.: “@student.sgh.waw.pl” in the case of student registration or “@sgh.waw.pl” in the case of employee registration.

IMPORTANT: the document presented on the day of the test must be the same as the one provided when registering for the test.

FEES

The current fee for the test is PLN 885.

PLACE OF THE TEST

The above-mentioned dates of the IELTS test will be held in SGH, Building C, 5th floor, room 5D.

WHAT HAPPENS ON THE DAY OF THE TEST?

Candidates must arrive 20 minutes before the start of the IELTS test.

No watches of any type may be brought into the examination room. They should be left with other personal belongings in the designated secure area. A clock will be clearly visible in the examination room.

When you register for the test, you will choose a convenient time for the oral part. In the message confirming your registration, you will find the test timetable. If you are late, you may not be allowed to take the test.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS

If you need special arrangements during the test due to dyslexia, dysgraphia or other medical conditions, you can count on these being provided as long as you report them well in advance. Contact the staff at the test centre two weeks before the test to find out about extending your test time under special arrangements.

CANDIDATE PORTAL

Once you have registered for the test, you will be given access to the candidate portal where you can, among other things, request to withdraw from the test, find out about your results and obtain your certificate.

RESULTS

Results will be made available on the candidate portal within 3-5 days of the test date. A digital certificate (e-TRF) will also be available for download.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY FOR THE IELTS TEST

If you withdraw from the test up to 5 days after the test date or withdraw within 14 days of making payment (but before the test), you will be entitled to a refund of 100% of the test fee. If you cancel for medical reasons, you will receive a refund of 75% of the test fee.
