The event includes the following tournaments for the Rector’s Cup: Indoor Football Tournament, Strongman Tournament, Tennis Tournament, Sailing Regatta and Beach Volleyball Tournament.
The Rector’s Cup Indoor Football Tournament has been held since 1997. It was initiated and first organised by the coach of the football section of the AZS (University Sports Association) at SGH.
The Rector’s Cup Strongman Tournament is organised by the coach of the athletic section at AZS SGH. Strongmen have been competing since 1999 in the Main Hall and in the bodybuilding centre, located in the SGH Main Building. In 2019, the Strongman Tournament was organised for the 20th time, marking a round jubilee.
The Rector’s Cup Sailing Regatta was initiated and first organised by the coach of the sailing section at AZS SGH. The race is taken by three-member crews. In 2005, the first regatta on Omega yachts was held at the Zalew Zegrzyński water reservoir near Warsaw.
The first Beach Volleyball Tournament was initiated by the coach of the volleyball section at AZS SGH. The tournament is played in several categories: women’s pairs, men’s pairs, mixed pairs and an open category. The tournament became part of the SGH Sports Days in 2007.
