Professor Andrzej Zawistowski, PhD

Deputy Dean
Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. A graduate of the University of Warsaw, he holds a doctoral degree in economics and a postdoctoral degree in history. In his academic work, he researches the political, economic and social aspects of Polish history in the 20th century, with particular emphasis on the history of the Polish People’s Republic. An author of several dozen academic works and several hundred popular publications, a series of works on the history of the SGH and educational publications. A founding member of the Polish Association of Economic History. Winner of numerous awards for scholarly achievements, including Klio (2019), Historical Book of the Year (honourable mention in 2018), SGH Rector’s awards and „Inspiration of the Year 2021” awarded by SGH students.
