The BUP Mobility Grant is funded by the Baltic University Programme (BUP) and aims to support the mobility and research collaboration of early-career researchers from the Baltic Sea region.
Key Information about the BUP Mobility Grant:
- Objective: To support international cooperation among early-career researchers and to promote research on sustainable development (environmental, social, and economic aspects).
- Eligibility: Researchers who obtained their PhD no more than five years ago.
- Funding scope: Travel and accommodation costs up to a maximum total amount of EUR 3,000 (managed and reimbursed by the BUP Secretariat in Uppsala).
- Project type:
- a new research project, or
- financial support for an ongoing research project.
- International mobility: A mandatory research stay at a higher education institution in another country within the Baltic Sea region for a minimum period of one month.
- Project focus: The project must be directly related to sustainable development and the Baltic Sea catchment area; all academic disciplines are eligible.

- invitation letter from the host institution,
- CV (maximum 2 pages).
