Poland in global economy - chances and risks

The main goal of the project is to continue and deepen the dialogue on the place of Poland in the global economy between three circles: scientists dealing with international economy, business representatives directly involved in international trade and investments and representatives of state institutions responsible for shaping economic policy. The representatives of these circles will take part in a conference to be held in November 2021 at the Warsaw School of Economics.

We expect that the cooperation of the three groups will bring good results from the point of view of the need to develop directions for the future economic policy of the country, with particular emphasis on the needs of enterprises, as well as the possibility of building the long-term competitive advantages of companies operating on international markets.

The result of the conference will be the opportunity to present scientific achievements, including the latest research results in the field of international trade, international flows of production factors, as well as the international division of labour and global value chains.

Moreover, we hope to increase the level of internationalisation of the activity of Polish scientists, as during the conference, the Polish Trade & Investment Study Group will be established, integrating the community of Polish scientists dealing with the analysis of trade and foreign investments. A special effect (beyond this project) of the conference will be monographs and scientific articles.
