AMENET – The European Union, Mediterranean and Africa Integration in the Global Age

The AMENET project corresponds to one of the specific objectives of the Jean Monnet Networks under the Erasmus+ Programme: it gathers information, exchanges practices, builds knowledge and promotes the European integration process around the world. It is focused on European Union, Mediterranean and Africa Integration processes and relations.

There are three main objectives of the AMENET project: 1. to identify the main trends of the evolution of the economic integration of the EU, 2. to learn from the European integration process, 3. to reflect the main teachings of the EU that are of interest to the regional integration of Africa-Mediterranean-Europe (AME) economies and the economic development of Africa.

The project’s scope covers five main research topics:

  1. Economic integration, trade, investment, transport, competition and services;
  2. Entrepreneurship and innovation;
  3. Employment, migration and refugees;
  4. Natural resources and climate change;
  5. Security, public policies and governance.
