The main domain of his research activity was marketing, encompassing consumption research, in particular the analysis of value systems, motives behind consumer behaviours and consumption forecasting methodologies. The second was banking. Prof. Kantecki made a great contribution to shaping banking in the conditions of the systemic transformation which was occurring in our country and the emergence of a market economy.
In particular, the Polish banking system owes much to the achievements of prof. Kantecki as President of the Foundation for Banking Education and Research.
