Screening of the documentary film "20 Days in Mariupol"

To mark the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the SGH student organization SKN Odbudowy Ukrainy and dr Iryna Degtyarova, SGH Rector’s Representative for cooperation with Ukrainian higher education institutions, in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine invite you to the screening of the docemantary film “20 Days in Mariupol” directed by Mstyslav Chernov.

The documentary takes the viewer to the very center of the tragic events in Mariupol, attacked by the Russian army in the first days of the war. Mstyslav Chernov and his collaborators remained in the besieged city until the very end, documenting the destruction of the titular city.

“20 Days in Mariupol” is not only a film indictment of war crimes committed by Russia, but also a deeply shocking testimony to the cruelty of war.

The documentary “20 Days in Mariupol” won the BAFTA award and brought its creators the Pulitzer Prize. It is also nominated for an Academy Award for “Best Documentary Feature” in 2024.
