The German-Polish Neighbourhood Treaty of 1991 laid the foundation for the good relations between Poland and Germany. On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the signing of this document, the conference at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics discusses how the institutional framework created by this agreement have affected the German-Polish economic relations in the last three decades, what challenges they currently face, and how these can be overcome in a united Europe. Besides developments in bilateral trade and investment activities and competitiveness, this includes challenges arising from the change of US foreign (trade) policy under the Trump administration, the war in Ukraine and technological disruptions.
