Optimization of transportation systems and complex network modelling

Event date:
6.11.2023, 14:00 - 8.11.2023, 13:00
"Optimization of transportation systems and complex network modelling - algorithms and their implementations" is a multidisciplinary event that gathers researchers in economics, transportation systems, social networks, complex systems and discrete mathematics interested in exploring the intricate dynamics and interconnections that shape economic systems. At the core of this workshop lies the desire to better understand the dynamic of transportation networks, along with underlying structures, patterns, and processes that govern complex systems.

The workshop will cover various topics, from the fundamental principles of optimization, network science and complexity theory to the practical applications of these concepts in transportation systems along with other domains. Sample topics include but are not limited to, optimization modelling, transportation systems, logistic networks,  graph theory, dynamics of information diffusion, the emergence of social influence, the role of network topology in shaping human behaviour, agent-absed simulation. An essential aspect of the workshop is its theoretical and empirical research focus. Attendees will be able to learn about new mathematical models, computational methods, and data-driven approaches for analyzing transportation systems and complex networks.
