The event will take place on 24–25 November 2026 at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The first day will feature an expert conference, while the second day will consist of workshops devoted to accessible education and accessible research.
Each CIVICA partner university has developed its own solutions for supporting people with diverse needs and building an inclusive academic community. The event will provide a space to present these experiences, exchange good practices and discuss accessibility in higher education and research.
The conference programme includes two plenary sessions devoted to accessibility and inclusion in higher education, as well as conducting accessible and inclusive research. Speakers will include representatives of SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Stockholm School of Economics, European University Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science, Bocconi University, Central European University and Sciences Po.
On the second day, there will be simulation workshops on the barriers faced by people with disabilities in academic environments, as well as parallel thematic workshops devoted to accessible education and accessible research.
Registration and participation
The event is open to people representing CIVICA alliance universities. Participation is free of charge but requires prior registration. Applications are accepted until 25 October 2026. The number of places is limited to 40, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Accessibility
The conference and workshops are organised with consideration for architectural, information and communication, and digital accessibility. Individual accessibility needs can be indicated in the registration form or reported directly to the organisers.
