On 10 April 2026, SGH Warsaw School of Economics will hold a ceremony of the conferral of the Doctor Honoris Causa diploma of SGH upon Dr Eng. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski Polish astronaut, in recognition for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of science and international cooperation.
The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Main Auditorium, Building G (al. Niepodległości 162).
Programme
- Opening speech – Piotr Wachowiak, PhD, SGH Rector
- Laudation – Roman Sobiecki, PhD, supervisor
- Awarding of the honorary doctorate diploma of SGH Warsaw School of Economics
- Lecture by the Doctor Honoris Causa of SGH Warsaw School of Economics – Dr Eng. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski
- Artistic performance by Patrycja Zywert-Szypka – actress, jazz vocalist and educator. The artist will take the audience on a musical journey through space, stars and galaxies.
Following the official conclusion of the ceremony, guests are invited to view the unique astrophotography exhibition “Whisper of the Stars” by Paweł Radomski. The exhibition will be presented in the Main Hall.
The event is held as part of the SGH 120th anniversary celebrations.
