The event is organized by the SGH Department of Economics II, within the framework of the project Advancing Academic Excellence: CIVICA Collaboration for Research, Didactics, Dual Degrees, AI Training, and Scientific Internships (CIVICA+), financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the Support for European Universities program.
The conference covers a wide range of topics, including economic growth and economic development, monetary and fiscal policy, challenges and reforms in EU governance, institutional environment, the green transition and its socioeconomic implications, democratic backsliding and citizen engagement, and the impact of digitalization on labour markets and public institutions. The conference will also explore policy responses to climate change, economic inequality, migration, and the future of European integration in a rapidly changing global landscape.
Call for papers
We encourage scientists from universities belonging to CIVICA to participate at the conference and present their papers. In the case of coauthorship, at least one author who will participate in the conference must be from the university belonging to CIVICA. Due to support from NAWA, SGH Warsaw School of Economics will be able to cover the costs of travel and accommodation for CIVICA participants accepted to present their papers at the conference.
Deadline for the submission of abstracts (maximum 500 words) of the proposed paper is December 15th, 2025. The Authors will be notified whether the paper has been accepted for presentation no later than on December 31st, 2025.
The book (scientific monograph) will be published after the conference. The authors who are willing their papers to be published as book chapters (provided that positive reviews are obtained) are obliged to send the full paper (not longer than 20 pages) till March 31st, 2026. The book is planned to be published by September 2026.
