Only foreign nationals applying for admission on the basis of the following are exempt from the obligation to take the exam:
- a secondary school leaving certificate/high school diploma issued in the education system of Poland, EU, OECD or EFTA member states, entitling the holder to apply for admission to studies in those countries;
- a secondary school leaving certificate/high school diploma issued in the education system of countries covered by international agreements (Ukraine and China – Gaozhong certificate);
- an IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma issued by the International Baccalaureate Organisation in Geneva;
- an EB (European Baccalaureate) diploma issued by the Europan School.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.
All remaining holders of foreign secondary school leaving certificates/high school diplomas not listed above are required to take the entrance examination and should read the following information:
- The entry exam is conducted online in the form of single-choice tests with closed-ended questions. The candidate takes the exam in the language of instruction of the study programme to which they are applying. If the candidate is applying for programs taught in both Polish and English, they are required to take exams in both languages.
- Only candidates who have successfully completed the registration process are eligible to sit the exam.
- A candidate applying for a program taught in English will receive an invitation to the exam immediately after a successful verification of their educational documents. The exam must be completed by the deadline specified in the admissions schedule for the acceptance of the offer letter to be possible. The invitation to the exam will be delivered to the candidate via the ISR system.
- The exam consists of 20 questions: 10 questions worth 1 point each and 10 questions worth 2 points each. The maximum number of points available to be scored is 30.
- The exam result determines whether the candidate has passed or failed. It does not contribute to the pool of qualification points awarded in the admissions process for a given level of study. A minimum score of 30% is required to pass. The result will be made available to the candidate via the ISR system.
