He currently oversees policies related to energy efficiency and transport decarbonization.

Prior to joining ORLEN, she served as Director of the Urban Program at the Forum Energii, one of Poland’s leading energy and climate policy think tanks. There, she established a network of 45 local governments and led projects that helped municipalities improve air quality and achieve their climate goals. In recognition of her work, she was named by Forbes Women as one of Poland’s 25 Climate and Environmental Leaders. During the course, Anita will introduce students to the social dimension of the energy transition. Her sessions will focus on stakeholder engagement in the energy sector, the role of public dialogue in the implementation of infrastructure projects, and the importance of social acceptance in managing project costs.

He participated in UN climate conferences, most recently COP28.

He collaborates with numerous organizations in both the private and public sectors – as a trainer and consultant in the areas of improving project management and defining, standardizing, and optimizing business processes. Author of dozens of publications in the field of management, including Poland’s first monograph on an organization’s project maturity. Certified project manager in project management (PRINCE2® and AgilePM®), portfolio management (MoP®), and risk management (M_o_R®). Member of PMI and IPMA. A lover of classic cars and an amateur gardener.

Prior to joining CGCN, Anna served as a Research Staff Member at the Science & Technology Policy Institute (STPI/IDA), delivering research on energy markets and technology policy to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). She was also a Fellow in Energy Studies at Rice University’s Baker Institute, where she co-directed the Energy and Geopolitics in Eurasia program, and a Senior Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, where she led graduate seminars and supervised student research. Her subject-matter expertise spans natural gas and LNG markets, European government and energy-market dynamics, global energy security, and the governance of critical energy infrastructure. She has testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources, the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services, and the U.S. Helsinki Commission on topics including European energy security and rogue-state revenue. Anna is also regularly published in outlets such as Forbes, Axios, The Hill, World Politics Review and ENI World. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Houston, an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Windsor (Canada) and a Master of Laws from Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland).

She is also a recognized expert in energy-related issues and a mentor in international programmes dedicated to energy topics. An alumna of energy-related training programmes organized by the International Energy Agency and the U.S. Department of State, she has also been active in the diplomatic and international arena.

Member of the Independent Scientific Evaluation Group (ISEG) of NATO’s Science for Peace and Security program (2022-2024). Reviewer for many international and national scientific journals. Independent author of several scientific monographs and more than 60 scientific articles. Awarded the Silver Cross of Merit in 2022. Completed an MBA at WSB Academy (programme partner: Ernst & Young) in 2024–2025. Chair of the Rector’s Committee for the Evaluation of Academic Staff at the I. Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology (1 January 2025–31 December 2028). Deputy Chair of the Council for the Discipline of Security Sciences (2025–2028). Programme Director of the postgraduate programme ‘Cybersecurity and Protection of Information Resources’ at the I. Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology.

He has over 20 years of experience in representing the sensitive industry related with excise tax (food and energy sectors). He took active part in legislative processes in Poland and at the EU level. He is the author of several articles like: “Energy security of the Polish fuel sector. Preparing for the worst-case scenario”, “ Could we be losing out on a lack of investment in processed oil substitutes?”, “The projects aimed at decarbonising the economy”, “Low-emission fuels will improve Poland’s security”.
