Professor Paweł Pietrasieński, PhD

Paweł Pietrasieński is the SGH Warsaw School of Economics’ Professor in the Department of Market, Marketing & Quality and Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with the State of Nevada. He co-manages a Triple Helix part of the project “Mazovia – An Accelerator of Global Enterprises” in the Consortium of Mazowieckie Marshal Office, Warsaw Stock Exchange and SGH Warsaw School of Economics, which has been funded by National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) under the GOSPOSTRATEG III grant.    
He has been collaborating with the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Business, University of Nevada Reno including a coordination of its international programs. He is also a mentor of the Granite Landings – a co-organizer of the Nevada Acceleration Program (NAP) which is managed jointly with NCBR and is the leading acceleration program for Polish startups entering the US market. 

Previously, he served as the Director of International Trade in the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), Minister Counselor - Head of the Trade and Investment Section at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington D.C as well as Deputy and Acting Consul General in Chicago. He was the inventor and supervisor of the first Poland’s bridge organization – Silicon Valley Acceleration Center based in San Francisco; co-inventor and partner – with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) – of the first governmental acceleration program the “Polish Silicon Bridge”. He was also a member of the Public Governance Committee of the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) based in Paris and member of Board of Governors for the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht.

Pietrasieński is the author of books “International Marketing Strategies” (Międzynarodowe Strategie Marketingowe) and “Stimulating the Internationalization of Enterprises” (Aktywizowanie Internacjonalizacji Przedsiębiorstw. Dobre praktyki rządów. Strategie wsparcia w Dolinie Krzemowej) along with more than 70 scientific and business publications in the fields of international business, global marketing, entrepreneurship, strategic management, public governance, market entry strategies and export promotion.

Pietrasienski works in the nexus of academia and government combing his experiences as a scholar, diplomat, economic development executive and startup founder.
