On October 16–17, 2025, Prof. Anna Szelągowska took part in the 6th Scientific Conference in the series “Alternative Investments,” organized by the Faculty of Economics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin. On the first day of the conference, Prof. Szelągowska participated in the opening debate titled “Investing in Times of Turbulence: Geopolitical Shocks, Changing Economic Paradigms, and Machine Intelligence,” where she addressed the topic of investing in luxury backyard shelters.
Other participants in the debate included Prof. Krzysztof Jajuga from the Wrocław University of Economics, Prof. Krzysztof Borowski from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), Prof. Małgorzata Zaleska from SGH, Prof. Elżbieta Kubińska from the Cracow University of Economics, and Prof. Tomasz Jedynak, also from the Cracow University of Economics.
On the second day of the conference, Prof. Szelągowska moderated Session III, titled “Socially Responsible Financing: Crowdfunding as a Tool for Transformation,” and also participated in the conference summary.
