Prof. Bień participated in numerous programs and trainings in the fields of: finance, banking and insurance, evaluation of investment projects, financing and settlement of investment projects, conducted in financial institutions, e.g. Chase Manhattan, Irving Trust, Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, Lloyd Bank, Midland Bank, PKO S.A. (New York branch), Bank Handlowy and stock exchanges in: Lyon, Frankfurt, New York, Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Zurich.
Dr Łukasz Gębski is an economist, academic lecturer and management practitioner, serving as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Banking at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He also collaborates with the Jagiellonian University, Paris School of Business and Excelia School of Management (France). His research and teaching focus on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, financial markets, consumer protection and responsible financial decision-making.
He holds a Doctorate in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics, an Executive MBA of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Warsaw, is an alumnus of INSEAD and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He also completed numerous programs in the field of banking and management, among others at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, SDA Bocconi and the Singularity University.
