PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The project responds to growing skills shortages and qualification mismatches in the labour markets of five EU countries – Lithuania, France, Italy, Germany and Poland – and six non-EU countries: North Macedonia, Türkiye, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Norway and Ethiopia.
These challenges call for better designed and more predictable migration pathways that reduce the negative consequences of irregular migration for both workers and societies.
Alongside academic publications, the project will deliver a set of recommendations, tools and analytical reports to support the development of fair and sustainable migration models and partnerships for skills development.
The results are intended for use by public authorities, education and training institutions and social partners to:
• better align the supply of skills with labour-market needs,
• support safe and regular migration pathways,
• strengthen the reintegration of migrants in their countries of origin.
