In the first quarter of 2024 the current financial confidence indicator (IRGFIN) increased (compared to the previous quarter) by 13.2 pts, up to 7.6 pts, the highest figure for the last 4 quarters. The leading financial confidence indicator (irgfin), representing the outlook for the 2nd quarter of 2024, reached 9.0 pts. Both (the current and leading) values can be deemed as a sign of optimism for the near future.
The biggest contribution to the improvement in the current financial confidence indicator came from a good assessment of the sector’s operating result and generated profit and, to a lower extent, from the improved general conditions for doing business. On the other hand, a slight deterioration in the perceived risk has been recorded.
