The Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Economic Sociology is composed of three units: the Philosophy Unit, the Sociology Unit and the Economic Sociology Unit.
The Institute was created at the end of 2013 by merging three departments: the Department of Philosophy, the Department of Sociology and the Department of Economic Sociology. Consequently, they were transformed into units.
The Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Economic Sociology was successively headed by:
- prof. dr hab. Juliusz Gardawski
- prof. dr hab. Wojciech Morawski.
Currently, the director of the Institute is dr hab. Justyna Nowotniak-Poręba, prof. SGH.
