The Research Institute for Economic Development attaches great importance to building and maintaining close relations with other research institutions in Poland and abroad. The Institute is an active member of CIRET (Centre for International Research on Economic Tendency). We regularly attend CIRET conferences and workshops, and since 1999 participate in general CIRET Assemblies and CIRET Council meetings.

We also cooperate with numerous business and consumer tendency surveys research institutions, incl. IFO (Germany), KOF (Switzerland), FIBER (New York), ISAE (Italy) and others (Eurostat, European Commission, OECD).
The Institute sends its publications to the greatest economic libraries in Europe: Bibliothek des Instituts für Weltwirtschaft and Deutsche Zentralbibliothek für Wirtschafts-wissenschaften in Kiel (Germany).
RIED maintains cooperation with the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics, Institute of Research on Market Economy, Poznań University of Economics, Wrocław Uniwersity of Economics, Cracow University of Economics, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, University of Gdańsk and Toruń, University of Management and Administration (Zamość) and many others.
RIED cooperates with many companies, which regularly send answered business survey questionnaires. The Institute systematically sends results of its surveys to those companies and the central government. Employees of the RIED participate as experts in research groups working for the government. The Institute has also close contacts with editorials of economic press, daily newspapers, and many websites where results of our research are presented.
Our cooperators include the Central Statistical Office, the Conference of Financial Companies in Poland (KPF), the National Bank of Poland, the Polish Economic Societies, to mention the main ones.
