Head of the Department of Liberal Economics. Adjunct professor. Manager, doctor of economics, specializing in financial markets. Independent member of supervisory boards and chairman of the audit committees of limited companies, e.g. Ukrposhta and Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukraine), Allianz, Unibep (Poland). World Bank consultant. Graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and MBA studies at the Carlson School of Management and the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. In the 1997-2000, an advisor and head of the political office of the Minister of Finance, Leszek Balcerowicz. Afterwards, a macroeconomic advisor at the Lewiatan Confederation. Later, an advisor and director of the Foreign Department at the National Bank of Poland. In 2003-8, he was a member of the Board of Executive Directors in the World Bank Group. President of the Management Board of PKO TFI S.A. (2008-12), Polish State Railways S.A. (2012-15) and Luma Investment S.A. (2016-19). In 1996, a scholarship holder of The Margaret Thatcher Foundation. Since 2007 holds a CFA diploma. Member of the CFA Society of Ukraine. In 2022, completed postgraduate studies “Blockchain: Business, Law and Technology” at the Warsaw School of Economics. Member of the Council of the Economic Freedom Foundation. Member of the Society of Polish Economists. Member of PTF (Partnership for Transparency) Europe.

Jarosław Bełdowski, PhD - assistant professor

President of the Polish Association for Economic Analysis of Law and co-founder of the European Society for Empirical Legal Studies. He combines a scientific career with a professional one, being an active attorney-at law. He also has many years of experience as an independent member of supervisory boards w Polsce i za granicą. A graduate of the Catholic University of Leuven (LL.M in European Union Law), as well as a Chevening Scholar at the University of Oxford. He is a visiting lecturer at the Riga Graduate School of Law and at the University of Haifa. He specializes in financial markets and economic analysis of law. He is the author of many scientific and popular science publications.
