“The Financial Times” Masters In Managementt

2022

  • 94th place

In September 2022, The Financial Times published its annual ranking of Masters in Management programmes.

2020

  • 13th place

In September 2020, The Financial Times published its annual ranking of Masters in Management programmes. Among the top 90 programmes worldwide was the CEMS Master in Management. Studies co-organised by SGH - the only Polish university of economics belonging to the CEMS association - were ranked 13th in this ranking.

CEMS is a global alliance formed by 33 business schools together with their corporate partners to run the joint CEMS Masters in International Management programme. The association of schools has adopted the goal of educating leaders who will smoothly navigate the international, multilingual and multicultural business environment. Only one university from a given country may belong to the alliance, therefore SGH Warsaw School of Economics is the only academic member of CEMS in Poland.

2019

  • 8th place

  • 58th place

On 28 October, the Financial Times published a ranking of Masters in Management programmes. Two study programmes offered by SGH have once again been ranked among the top 100 in the world. CEMS Master in Management co-organised by SGH - the only Polish university of economics belonging to the CEMS association - was ranked 8th. The second management faculty run by SGH was ranked 58th.

The course rankings of the Financial Times mainly assess the success of graduates on the labour market. The fact that SGH Warsaw School of Economics is among the top 100 - twice over - confirms the high quality of education at SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the reputation its graduates enjoy on the labour market.

2018

  • 9th place

In 2018, two masters programmes offered by SGH were ranked among the world’s best. The CEMS Master in Management co-organised by the only Polish university of economics present in the CEMS alliance maintained its 9th place, while the “traditional” management faculty moved up for the second time in a row - this time from 68th to 59th place. The presence in the top 100 confirms the high quality of education at SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the reputation its graduates enjoy on the labour market.

2017

  • 9th place

In 2017, two masters programmes offered by SGH Warsaw School of Economics were ranked among the world’s best. CEMS Master in Management co-organised by the only Polish university of economics present in the CEMS alliance took 9th place, while the “traditional” management faculty was promoted from 73rd to 68th place.

The results of the ranking are yet another sign that management graduates at SGH are doing well in the labour market. The average earnings of management graduates surveyed amounted to  $48090 at purchasing power parity (up from $45374 in 2016). 93% of respondents found a job within three months of graduation. Management at SGH is the only free course in the journal’s list.
There was only one university from Poland in the ranking. Corvinus University in Budapest is 70th, and Prague University of Economics and Business is 82nd. In the lead is SGMI Management Institute St. Gallen, second place goes to HEC from Paris, third place goes to the Spanish IE Business School (jumping from 7th).

The Financial Times’ Global Masters in Management ranking position is made up of scores from three areas of the survey. The first is a survey of graduates in the field of study, in which they answer questions about their careers, how much they earn or whether they have achieved their professional goals. The second area includes questions about the diversity of the school in terms of, among other things, the percentage of women among the teaching staff, foreigners among students, lecturers, etc. The third area takes into account the so-called internationalisation, i.e. participation in international programmes, i.e. mobility of staff, students and foreign language learning.

2016

In December, the Financial Times published a ranking of the top 90 business schools in Europe. The ranking is a summary of four rankings organised by the journal. In 2016, SGH Warsaw School of Economics was ranked 83rd - ex aequo with Bradford University School of Management and EM Strasbourg Business School.

In the past year, SGH took part in only one FT ranking - the September Master in Management, in which the management faculty was ranked 73rd in the world and 65th in Europe.

Rounding out the podium of the December business school ranking were London Business School, HEC Paris and Insead. The second Polish university in the ranking - Kozminski University - was ranked 45th.
