Director Irena Lichnerowicz graduated from the Nicolas Copernicus University in Toruń (English Philology), French Université d’Angers (Lettres et Sciences Humaines) and did her MA at British University of Bath (European Studies-Euromasters programme). In 1999 Mrs Lichnerowicz started her career at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, initially as an expert in the Foreign Affairs Office and then senior expert in the Presidential Protocol Division. She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in 2005. As the Director of Protocol (since December 2014), Mrs Lichnerowicz was organizing and coordinating the events of the highest international rank (including NATO Summit in Warsaw in 2016, World Youth Days, Commemorations of the 70th Anniversary of the End of WWII with participation of world leaders, several dozens of incoming and outgoing high level visits as well as multilateral meetings).
