A NEW OPPORTUNITY - TUITION-FREE UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES AT THE WARSAW SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

The Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) – an institution with centennial tradition and continually rated the best economic university in Poland - will offer from 2010/2011 academic year two three-year BA programmes of studies in English in the following majors:

· International Economics,
· Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems.

Owing to financial support within the framework of the “Innovative Warsaw School of Economics – the development and internationalization programme” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund, the first edition of studies will be entirely tuition-free.

Short description of the programmes:

• International Economics:
  Bachelor Programme in International Economics (IE) will enable students to understand and analyze the international environment and context in which private enterprises and public institutions are operating.
  Based on the core courses including i. a. economics, finance, law, economic integration, quantitative methods etc. students will be provided with an in-depth assessment of the structure of the economic, financial, legal and marketing systems from an international perspective.
  Students will be given the opportunity of choosing to major in Economics of Central and Eastern Europe or in International Business Management.
  The programme will give students an opportunity to graduate with truly global mindset and ability to understand and efficiently perform in international economic environment.

• Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems:
  Bachelor Programme in the area of Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems (QMEIS) will provide students with fundamentals of economy, finance and management as well as with the set of analytically oriented courses in information and management sciences. Based on the core courses two concentrations will be offered, enabling creation of professional profile of innovative and creative analyst.
  Graduates will be prepared to wise use of quantitative analyses supported by computers in solving decision problems in complex managerial global environment.
