Collegium of World Economy

The Collegium of World Economy was established on the 1st October 1992 to replace the former Foreign Trade Faculty, which functioned within the former organizational structure of the Warsaw School of Economics.

According to the Warsaw School of Economics Charter, the Collegium associates organisational units established with the purpose of cooperation in the fields of scientific research and development of human resources. At present it gathers four institutes and seven chairs.

The research and lecturing activities by the Collegium staff focus on issues related to international economics theory, foreign economic policy, European regional integration, intergovernmental organisations, international finance, management in international business, internationalisation of corporate activities, as well as international private and public law.

The mission of the Collegium of World Economy is not only to make research on changes in the modern world economy and international corporate activities (with a special focus on implications for Poland), but also to share knowledge in these fields with bachelor, graduate, doctoral and postgraduate students. The development of the own research and lecturing staff is also one of the most important statutory goals.
