Study at SGH – education

According to the Bologne system SGH offers three levels of studies:

  • 3-year Bachelor’s studies (I degree) – six-semester full-time or extramural studies in Polish and English.
  • 2-year Master’s studies (II degree) – for graduates with at least a bachelor’s degree, full-time or extramural, four-semester studies. Both in Polish and English.
  • 3-year Doctoral studies – full-time or extramural studies in Polish and English and joint programme in French.
  • Postgraduate studies – over 90 programmes in the Polish language, MBA programmes - Canadian Executive MBA (in English), Executive Studies in Finance and studies realised at the request of companies and institutions.

Studies in English available for full-time students:

  • Bachelor in International Economics,
  • Bachelor in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems,
  • Bachelor in Management - specializations: Project Management, Entrepreneurship,
  • Master in International Business - specializations: Business in Central and Eastern Europe, International Business Management,
  • Canadian Executive MBA Studies (CEMBA), with the University of Quebec in Montreal,
  • PhD Studies in Management and Economics

And

  • Polish - French European Doctoral Studies, with the University Cergy Pontoise (in French).

Fields of Bachelor's studies in Polish are available for full-time students (at Bachelor and Master level):

Economics, Finance and Accounting, Quantitative Methods in Economics and IT Systems, Management, International Economics.

Fields of Master's studies:
 
Economics, Finance and Accounting, International Economics, Law and Economics, Management, Quantitative Methods in Economics and IT Systems.

Students of undergraduate studies are admitted to SGH and after first year of studies choose their field of study (with an optional minor). Graduate students are enrolled directly into the field of studies.

International students may easily join our programmes in Polish, provided they have sufficient language fluency.

Over 16 000 students study at SGH. This number includes about 6 500 full-time students and about 6 100 part-time students. Moreover, 5 300 students participate in postgraduate courses and 1 400 students study for doctoral degree.

Since the School was established in 1906, it has educated over 70 000 graduates (of both graduate and postgraduate studies). A significant number of the SGH academics are its graduates. The school has awarded over 1 700 Doctor of Economics degrees and about 500 postdoctoral habilitation degrees.
