On October 16, the SGH hosted a research and economic delegation from Nevada led by Governor Brian Sandoval. The SGH and the University of Nevada, Reno signed an agreement on cooperation.

The Nevada Day was organised in reference to the Poland Business and Education Week in Nevada which took place in March this year and was attended by the SGH representatives. This was the second visit by the governor in Poland while in office and this time, the SGH was his only academic destination in the country.

The agreement with the University of Nevada, Reno focuses on joint research, academic staff and student exchange, as well as entrepreneurship promotion – including academic start-up support.

During the event, four discussion panels were held regarding promotion of entrepreneurship, autonomous systems, innovations in water technology, as well as the computer game industry.

Strategic partners of the event were Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development and the Management Board of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.

The thematic sessions were aided by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and the Institute of Aviation.
