SGH Among the Best Business Schools in Europe

The Financial Times presented the list of top 90 graduate business schools in Europe based on its 2017 rankings. The list comprises results of European business schools in the newspaper's MBA, EMBA, Masters in Management and Executive Education rankings. The result in each of the rankings results the final rank of a business school in the FT list published in December every year. In 2017 SGH was ranked 76th (up from 83rd).

​Owing to high student satisfaction regarding courses offered by SGH Warsaw School of Economics as part of the CEMS Master in International Management, the CEMS Academic Committee awarded SGH with the title of the CEMS School of the Year.

SGH takes the first place in Rzeczpospolita ranking

On 27 October 2017, the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita published the results of the second edition of the ranking of economic universities and faculties. Like in the previous year, SGH Warsaw School of Economics was ranked first (93.92 points) among economic universities.

Nevada Day

On October 16, the SGH hosted a research and economic delegation from Nevada led by Governor Brian Sandoval. The SGH and the University of Nevada, Reno signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of joint research, academic staff and student exchange, as well as entrepreneurship promotion – including academic start-up support.

Inauguration of the academic year 2017/2018

​On October 4, 2017, SGH Warsaw School of Economics held the inauguration ceremony for the academic year 2017/2018. Apart from SGH staff and students, the celebratory session of the SGH Senate also hosted the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education dr hab. Sebastian Skuza, Secretary of State in the Presidential Chancellery Adam Kwiatkowski, local authorities, rectors and vice-rectors of universities, representatives of public institutions, members of the Polish parliament, entrepreneurs and members of SGH Corporate Partners Club.

 About University

 

The history of the Warsaw School of Economics begins in 1906. Warsaw was formally on the territory of the Russian Empire and it was to the tsar administration to authorize establishment of the Private Courses of Commerce for Men – as the school was known at that time.
