The official end of the semester for CEMS MIM students has arrived and CEMS community has gathered for the last time to network and say goodbye to students as well as celebrate the end of the year.
The results are in and there can be no doubt that SGH is the best economic university in Poland, according to the newest ranking by a prominent Polish journal “Rzeczpospolita”. The second and the third place on the podium went to economic universities in Poznań and Katowice, respectively. Among the non-economic institutions, the University of Warsaw ranked the highest.
Because of the central heating failure in Warsaw, the rector announces cancellation of classes on December 11th, 2019 from 17.10 p.m.
CEMS Outstanding Contribution Award 2019 was awarded for the first time this December and the winner is „CEMS Climate Change Course and Model UNFCCC”. 9 CEMS school run this course and SGH is one of them!
The Financial Times presented the list of top 95 graduate business schools in Europe based on its 2019 rankings. The list comprises results of European business schools in the newspaper's MBA, EMBA, Masters in Management and Executive Education rankings. The result in each of the rankings results the final rank of a business school in the FT list published in December every year. In 2019 SGH was ranked 69th. ”SGH Warsaw School of Economics has the highest average pay rise across our five main rankings at 122 per cent, calculated from the published figures”.
On October 28, The Financial Times published the „Masters In Management” ranking. Two programmes offered by SGH were once again named among the world’s top 100 programmes. CEMS Master In Management, which is co-administered by SGH – the only Polish economic university allied within CEMS – moved up to the 8th place. The other SGH’s Management programme was ranked at the 58th spot.
International Centre informs about finalising the agreement on establishing Master Double Degree Programme with Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Université Laval for students of Global Business, Finance and Governance (in Polish and in English).
Between September 25-27 International Centre holds an Orientation Week for over 300 incoming exchange students from all over the world.
The supplementary admission cycle to first-cycle and second-cycle studies for Polish citizens is now open.
In August 2019, SGH signed an agreement with the Guanghua School of Management Peking Universty (GSM PKU) on the basis of which students of 3 bachelor studies (International Economics, Global Business, Finance and Governance and Management both in English and in Polish) will be able to participate in the international undergraduate program implemented in GSM in Beijing.
