Internships at the University of Macerata
The University of Macerata (Italy) is interested in welcoming foreign candidates who wish to do a work experience at the International Office, within the frame of the Erasmus Placement programmes. We have already hosted several trainees and we have always been very satisfied with their skills and motivation.
We are currently carrying out the selection process for prospective trainees who want to start their internship in September 2012 (from September / October 2012 and for the whole year 2013).
Our ideal candidate should:
- Have a scholarship provided by their home institution, within the Erasmus Placement
- Have good knowledge of English and/or Italian Language (the knowledge of any other European Language will be a plus)
- Have Basic skills in information and communication technology (ICT)
- Be acquainted with European Programmes such as Erasmus
The main activities she or he will carry out are:
- administrative procedures related to Incoming and Outgoing Erasmus students;
- support and information for Incoming and Outgoing Erasmus students.
- implementation of the web pages related to foreign students and to our partner universities (uploading information, taking care of social networks, etc…)
We usually accept candidates for six-month internships, but we also welcome trainees who stay for shorter periods. The period is agreed according to the candidate's needs and to the activities of the office and is always subject to confirmation.
We are not able to guarantee our trainees any financial support, but we help them to find accommodation and provide them with the same services offered to all Incoming Erasmus students (access to the canteen, libraries, It departments, university facilities, Italian Language Courses, etc…).

If students are interested in doing an internship at the International Office of the University of Macerata, they should e-mail us (laura.concetti@unimc.it) the following documents:
- a copy of your CV
- a letter of motivation (they should describe, very briefly, their motivation for working at the International Office)
The Director of the office will screen the applications on a first come, first served basis. Please mind also that we always collect at least 3 - 4 applications before processing them.
