Poland has the health care system based on general health insurance which entitles its bearer to free health services. An insured person and members of his/her family are entitled to free health services if they receive these services at health care providers that have signed contracts with the regional branch of the National Health Fund (NFZ), institution responsible for assuring health services and refund of prescribed medicine. The contract on providing health services specifies the kind and the scope of the services contracted by the given health provider with the National Health Fund.
As your good health is vital to achieving academic goals and enjoying the study-abroad experience, all international students are required to arrange an insurance cover for the entire period of their stay in Warsaw and submit suitable proof thereof to the CIPD upon arrival.
